There is fresh snow on mountains. Snowy mountains are beautiful. This is the view from North side of Stanley park.

It is already the middle of October. There are so many beautiful coloured leaves in the park now. However, I took some pictures of Crab Apples in August. A full crop of apples was on a small tree near Aquarium.

It is already November, but colored leaves are still beautiful this year in the park. However, winter is also here too. It is 9 am, and the temperature is 1c now!

Theft from Auto at Stanley Park

Many cars have been broken into by thefts at the parking lot near Vancouver Aquarium. Visitors at Aquarium should not leave any valuable things in their cars. The area has been targeted by thefts for many years. There should be a security system at this particular parking lot. It is so sad to see the visitors whose cars are broken into in Vancouver.

The City worker's strike is finally over this week. Services and facilities of parks are now open.
Public Washroom closed in Stanley Park due to the city workers' strike

Public washrooms are closed in Stanley Park from July 23. Limited washrooms are somehow open though. Visitors are looking for available washrooms in the park whole day. I feel sorry for them, especially for small children. According to the Vancouver Sun newspaper, the strike will continue for a while. Visitors need to adjust to the situations caused by the strike.
Available Washrooms near Vancouver Aquarium are: at the Information center and Stanley Park Pavilion Cafe.
Visitors need to bring their own toilet paper to the park.

Thunder

It was sunny and rainy day today. When I was in the park this afternoon, a roll of thunder started. Since there are many tall trees in the park, it's possible that the trees could be struck by lighting. However, after 20 minuets of heavy rain, the sky cleared up, and the park became calm again. The sunset is at 9:22 pm tonight, so people can enjoy walking around the park at dusk.
